SUNNY SIDE UP

NARRATIVE DIRECTORAL DEBUT: COMING SOON.

Sunny Side Up follows two young adults, Sadie and Max, 8 months after a one night stand gone wrong. The film begins with Sadie knocking on Max’s door, visibly pregnant, after leading him to believe she got an abortion.

In 23 minutes of quippy dialogue, the two are thrust into a dire situation much bigger than themselves. Sunny Side Up tackles themes of choice and autonomy, the ethics of children raising children, and defines partnership with nuance.

One conversation, twenty minutes, and a dozen eggs later, Sadie and Max decide how they will proceed on the new life path they have been offered.

Bell aims to help her students understand the timing of their lives by teaching pattern recognition through the astrological prediction technique of transits. Through five video workshops, she covers an introduction to transits, followed by how to predict events in all areas of life, such as love, career, home, and health.
